As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10,11
Last week I was listening to a message from Dutch Sheets, a trusted prophet, and he made this statement, "God declares the end from the beginning." As I pondered those words the thought came to me that not only is God omniscient, having knowledge of all things past, present, and future, but He also controls all things as well. He knows how everything is going to play out because He orchestrated how they would play out. When God makes a decree, there is no question or doubt whether it will come to pass. God's voice is creative and it will set things in motion regardless of the circumstances or reality. When the angel Gabriel spoke to the young virgin Mary and said,"You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus," Holy Spirit went to work to make it happen-and it did. God doesn't just speak words from a cloud to put things in motion, He uses human beings to speak them as well. In this fullness of time we live in, we are the prophetic voice God uses to speak His words. As soon as we speak, Holy Spirit goes into action. Your voice carries power because God has given you authority. This is something we really need to get. We are to be the messenger who carries the Word of God to the world. It is our responsibility to speak forth the prophetic Word in order for our families, our city, and our country to prosper.
Then the LORD reached out and touched my mouth and said, “Look, I have put my words in your mouth! Today I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms. Some you must uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow. Others you must build up and plant.” Jeremiah 1:9,10
