Church Vision
Strong Tower Fellowship

Psalms  61:3  For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower before the enemy.

JESUS IS OUR STRONG TOWER.
He is our refuge.

What we believe:
1. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God to man, the infallible, all-sufficient, final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.  "All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work." (II Timothy 3:16,17)

2. We believe in one infinite, triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-3, 1John 5:17, Matthew 28:19, John 14:26, Acts 5:3,4)

3. We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Having lived without sin, He died and was resurrected in His own body for my atonement and resurrection. (John 1:1, 14, Matthew 1:23,24, Hebrews 4:15, I Corinthians 15:1-4, John 2:19-21, Acts 26:23, I Corinthians 15:20,23)

4. We believe that only through Christ's death on the cross, by the shedding of His blood and His resurrection we are saved and justified. Salvation is by grace, through faith, and is the free gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8,9, Romans 5:9, Ephesians 1:7)

5. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind: of the believer to an everlasting dwelling with God in heaven, of the nonbeliever to an everlasting, conscious hell without God. (John 3:16-18, John 5:28-29)

6. We believe that the Holy Spirit, indwelling in the believer, enables him/her to live a godly life. (Romans 8:13,14, I Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 4:30, 5:18)

7. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today.

8. We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

The purpose of this ministry is to equip our people for the work of the ministry.

And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. (Eph 4:11,12)

NIV:to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.

How we equip our people:

1. Teach them the word of God.

  • We teach the bible.

2. Encourage and edify them: help them to mature in the gifts of the Spirit

  • Encourage: To give courage to; to give or increase confidence of success; to inspire with courage, spirit, or strength of mind; to embolden; to animate; to incite; to inspirit.
  • Edify: To instruct and improve the mind in knowledge generally, and particularly in moral and religious knowledge, in faith and holiness.

3. Disciple the them:

  • "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard....commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." 2Tim2:1,2
  • "...the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all."
  • "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." Eph.4:11,12

4. Send them out.

1Co 1:10  But I exhort you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Is Christ divided? (1 Cor1:10,13)
